| In August 1978, I got my
first chance to see and hear Julie in a live concert from Mysen, Norway.
She had promised Bing Crosby to do this Red Cross concert.
Naturally, I was very excited and made the long train journey from Sweden to Norway. I arrived about noon to the park, and I could hear Julie rehearsing. I persuaded the guards to let me see the rehearsal, and there she was - the most beautiful woman in the world! |

I had brought a bouquet of
pink carnations which I was lucky enough to present to her after the
rehearsal. She also signed a piece of an envelope that I got from a
fellow fan - from Holland. I also met up with some Swedish fans - see
below - that I shared a hotel with.
It was the first time and it was lovely - but the pain afterwards and the feeling of loss was awful. |
