"Duet for One"

London Premiere

 

We were handing out paper tissues outside the cinema. The cinema manager would not let us hand them out in the foyer but a lot of people used them as this is a very emotional film. Julie excelled in her portrayal as a MS stricken violinist.

Later we were happy to run into (!) Julie as she was returning to the Dorchester Hotel. She was happy to pose for some photographs - we called ourselves the "elevator trio" as we caught her just as she was getting into the elevator at the    

Duet for One

I was invited to a special screening of "Duet for One" prior to the opening.

 

Dorchester. She had been to tape  "Aspel & Company" - broadcast on 7 March 1987. 

Sadly the film was not a commercial success and Julie didn't get the recognition and praise she should have been given.

She was nominated for a "Golden Globe" but failed to win.
